Psych Classroom AV Setups

PAS 3026 (aka ABC Room), PAS 4032, and PAS 4053 (aka Zanna Room)

  1. Using the classroom PC:
    1. Ensure that the purple Y-shaped USB connector is unplugged from any other devices.
    2. Power on the screen with either the Sony remote or by pressing the button on the bottom center of the wall display.
    3. The left monitor on the A/V cart will mirror what's on the wall display and the right monitor is a second desktop.
    4. When finished, turn off the wall display and log out of the classroom PC.
  2. Using a laptop
    1. If this is the first time you've connected to the ABC room A/V equipment, then follow the instructions below titled "Installing the required driver." You only need to complete this step the first time you connect.
    2. Power on the screen with either the Sony remote or by pressing the button on the bottom center of the wall display.
    3. Plug in the purple Y-shaped USB connector to either a USB-C or USB-A (normal) port on your laptop.
    4. In a few seconds, your laptop should connect to the wall display and show your desktop.
    5. When finished, turn off the wall display and place the purple Y-shaped USB connector back on its magnetic stand.


PAS 1418 (aka Richard A. Steffy Stately Room)

If you are using a laptop, please be sure to restore the Kramer switch-box to the Nexus station by setting the button at "1" (out) so that the desktop computer and projector work as expected for the next person who is using the setup.
