PAS 1418 (aka Richard A. Steffy Stately Room)
- Turn the projector on using the projector remote control. If you
turn the projector off, you won't be able to turn it on again for 3-4
minutes - the bulb needed to cool down below a certain temperature before
it turns on again.
- Press "Computer-1" on the projector remote control.
- Check the Kramer switch-box sitting on the PC.
If you are using the Nexus station, ensure
button setting is at "1" (out).
If you are using a laptop, ensure
button setting is at "2" (in).
- If using a laptop, your display resolution can be no more than
"1024 by 768" when using a projector.
To check on Windows, right-click anywhere
on the desktop background and select Properties/Settings and ensure you
are using a screen resolution of 1024 by 768 or less.
Most laptops normally do not send video to an external display (in
order to save power). On many laptops, to switch between the LCD
display and the projector (or both), hold the "FN" key and press
"F5". Again, this may vary from laptop to laptop so check your
laptop's documentation.
If you are using a laptop, please be sure to restore
the Kramer switch-box to the Nexus station
by setting the button at "1" (out)
so that the desktop computer and projector work
as expected for the next person who is using the setup.
